Visitor rules & FAQ
Everything to know before you come
Simple guidance on safety, children and hygiene, plus answers to the questions visitors ask most.
How to be a great guest
A few simple habits keep the visit safe and enjoyable. We will go through the details with you when you book.
-
Let the dogs come to you
Sit or crouch, hold out a relaxed hand and let the Golden decide when to say hello. It makes for a calmer, happier meeting.
-
Be gentle
Stroke along the back and shoulders. Avoid pulling ears, tails or fur, and keep your voice soft.
-
Children stay close to an adult
We love having families. Please help children greet the dogs calmly, and tell us about them when you book.
-
Keep it clean
Wash or sanitise your hands after your visit, and tell us if anyone in your group is unwell or has allergies.
-
Leave the dogs’ things alone
Toys, beds and bowls belong to the Goldens. Ask us before feeding or offering anything to a dog.
-
Follow the team’s guidance
If a dog wants a rest, we will let you know. Everyone, dogs included, should be comfortable.
Your questions, answered
Cannot find yours? Send it with your booking request.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Golden Friends sessions are booked and paid for, which keeps the centre calm for the dogs. Use the contact page to request a date.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, families are welcome. Let us know about the children when you book and help them greet the dogs gently and calmly.
Do I need experience with dogs?
No. Many visitors come precisely because they do not have a dog. Golden Retrievers are friendly, and the visitor rules above cover the basics.
What about allergies or feeling unwell?
If anyone in your group has dog allergies or is unwell, tell us when you book so we can talk it through before you come.
How much does a session cost?
Sessions are paid and priced in lei. Get in touch with your date and group size and we will come back to you with the details.
Is a visit a good gift?
Many people want to give a dog experience to someone who loves dogs. Mention it in your message and we will talk you through the options.
Ready for some Golden Retriever time?
Send us your preferred date and who is coming, and we will get back to you about your visit.
